Fannock's Two Week Outlook

March is roaring in like a lion and it isn't going to stop anytime soon. While there isn't any big storms over the next few days, it's going to be very cold (by March standards). These low temps are something you'd commonly see in the month of January. Lows through Thursday morning will be in the single digits. We're even talking wind chills near 0 at times. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. March is a transition month and I do have some good news.

Firstly, I'm watching a storm this weekend. This one has the potential to pack a lot of moisture. We may pick up 1" of liquid out of this storm. The million dollar question is whether it's an icy mix or just plain rain. Models, as of this evening, are leaning towards mainly plain rain. Maybe some sleet or freezing rain to start, but temps look to rapidly rise. This would be late Saturday into Sunday if things panned out how they look today.

Secondly, there's a warm up coming! Yes, that's the good news! Sunday will feature your first "taste" of the warmer air. I'm thinking highs near 50 certainly aren't out of the question. To kick off your week, after Sunday, temps are projected to dip down again, but only into the 30's. This will be brief before another warm up moves your way.

Wednesday, the 13th, will be the first day of roughly a 7 day warm period. By warm, I'm not talking 60's. However, I am talking upper 40's to lower 50's!! That's not too bad, right?!

I do not believe temps stay this way straight into April; more 30's roll back in around the 20th.
