Air needs to moisten up for snowflakes to reach the surface level. 1:40PM - There's reports of sleet/snow showers starting. If you start as sleet, it will go over to snow. There's a warmer pocket of air above the surface that will cool down. Main Event Start T ime: 3:30PM to 7:30PM WEST TO EAST It should start as snow for the majority of you. Extreme southern areas will end up mixing fairly quickly and transition to rain. Sleet is also possible later as we transition from snow to rain. By 11PM: Rain/Snow line will be near I-78.
