7/17/18 - Early look at the weekend

Saturday is my pick if there's outdoor activities you want to get done! You'll see partly sunny skies with a small risk of an afternoon thundershower. Highs near 80! That's a temperature you'd be excited for at the end of September, so get excited now, too! The thundershower is only isolated so most locations should stay dry. Where's the rain? It's sunny!!

Curious where this washout is at? I mean, what the hell, it's currently sunny! As of 9am, I looked over some model guidance and it looks like things will fire up after 11:30-12. I originally wasn't worried about severe weather. Only flash flooding. But now the fickle bitch we call mothers nature threw in sunshine. So that's making the atmosphere unstable and ready for some severe storms. What's possible? Heavy rain Thunder Lightning Gusty winds Small hail Flash flooding is certainly possible with training thunderstorms. If one gets stuck over the same area for a long duration of time, you're looking at a few inches of rain. For the rest of us expect anywhere from 1 to 2 inches of rain.
