Below is an image showing you CAPE values. When these values exceed 1,000 J/kg, we watch for severe weather potential. As you can see below, CAPE values exceed 1,500. If this happens, along with some breaks of sunshine, severe weather could occur. Keep in mind, if we don't see any sunshine at all, severe weather can be tossed out the window. Keep an eye on the sky! If you see sun, severe weather may follow! Highs will top out near 80 degrees. Dew points will top out near 65.
