Sleet/Freezing rain showers will be scattered throughout the region between 8pm and 12am tonight. Then steadier and heavier precip moves in after midnight. Southern areas may not see wintry precip very long. Temps will be warming from South to North. Elevations and areas further North will hold onto the wintry side of things for longer duration. A transition to plain rain will occur, in the colder spots, near daybreak.

Rain showers early transitioning to snow showers as temps fall into the lower 30's. As of now, it's too early to know if the snow will be enough to stick. Some model guidance suggests a few inches, while other model guidance suggests no accumulation at all. I'll have a better idea by Thursday morning. Look for a post in my group at 11:00AM Thursday.
