12z Canadian blankets East Coast with FEET of snow

By: Ryan Fannock

Before you start reading, I want you to know this is NOT a forecast. It's simply an article put together to give you an idea of what one model shows. I am going to discuss the Canadian model and it's scenario for snow next week.

In the first image below, you can see the snow breaking out during the afternoon on the 12th.

In the image below, you can see the mix area (purple) creep further into Pennsylvania. This is occurring as the storm moves up the East coast and basically bombs out. It's pretty much a massive snowstorm at this point.

In the image below, you can see the storm pulling further away form PA. This means the storm is starting to end, heavy snow turns to moderate snow and there's feet of snow on the ground.

In the image below, you can see the heaviest snow is out of PA. There's just some left over snow showers around daybreak on the 13th. The clean up would begin! (if this model verified)

In the image below, you can see snow totals from this storm. The 23" area in the box shows you the amount Schuylkill County, PA would receive. Again, this is only if this model run were to verify.
