The pattern is changing; snow is possible

Big, big changes are on the way. We're heading into a pattern that's packed with below average temperatures. What about snow? Hmm. I'll talk about that later in this article.

First, I'm going to start off by talking about this Friday. This is our transition day. We'll have gusty winds along with highs in the 40's. Then, on the weekend, we're going to see temps dip into the 20's for overnight lows. That's quite a difference compared to the 70 degree day we had on Halloween.

Next, I'll show you two images from the Climate Prediction Center. They are on board for below normal temps as well. The first image is the 6-10 day outlook. The second one is your 8-14 day outlook.

There's even a "chance" that we see our first inch of snow over the next two weeks! Right now, models are showing an 8th-9th event which would give us an inch or two. No, it's not a big storm. But the chance is there for some flakes to fall in early November.

Two more things...

1) All of the long range models are on board for a cold snap over the next two weeks. From the American to the Canadian to the European model, we're on track for below normal temperatures.

2) Get ready to turn your heat on! There's even a chance we see some upper teens as overnight lows during this period. Brr...
